Invokyr Multiplayer Capacity

If you are wondering how many people can join a session of Invokyr, the Early Access game supports 1 to 6 players in online co-op, and Steam lists single-player support as well. As a cooperative horror experience, the core gameplay loop focuses on a group working through a cursed 1970s board game together.

The full game and the demo have different limits: the released Early Access game supports up to six players, while the separately listed Invokyr Demo supports up to four. Check which version your group is playing before you plan a game night, because the same lobby will not always fit both versions.

Community Feedback on Lobby Size

The jump to six-player lobbies at Early Access launch resolved an older discussion: during the demo period, players regularly suggested that raising the party size beyond four would enhance the chaotic nature of the game, particularly for larger friend groups. Community feedback now focuses more on balance and performance with full six-player groups than on lobby size itself.

If you are organizing a larger group, keep in mind that more players means more competition for dice, more visible targets for monsters, and longer coordination for board decisions. Many groups still run with four or five players for a tighter experience, while six works well for casual chaos.

What to Expect in Invokyr Co-op

Invokyr relies heavily on the synergy between teammates. Because the game revolves around a "cursed board game" theme, player actions—such as rolling dice—directly impact the environment and the threats you face.

In a group of any size, the game distributes responsibilities and risks among the players. You will need to coordinate movement, manage resources, and decide when to work together versus when to look out for your own survival. The game's design, which includes hidden traps and evolving board states, rewards communication whether you run as a duo or a full six-player team. Expect a mix of puzzle-solving and survival horror that gets harder to coordinate as your group grows.
